In this article, I have gathered some easy tips to follow for the travellers willing to travel abroad. It will help them to have a safe journey on the both way of their trip.
1.
Location & Time: Before
commencing the journey, decide the exact destination where you want to head. The
place may vary upon your interest. Spend
some time over studying the geographical location, internal laws, customs, and
languages for your safety and security during your voyage. If you are fond of natural
beauties, you must go for the beautiful beaches or islands filled with coconuts.
Don’t forget about the seasons and travelling time of the year. Season here
doesn’t refer to climatic conditions, rather the peak and off peak periods of
the destined place. Peak seasons must be avoided due to over crowds at the
place. Crowds may upset you in many ways while enjoying the beauties of the
place.
2.
Plan for Return Drive: It is
wise to have an appropriate plan for the journey. You need to make two
schedules- one for the departure from your home, and the other for returning. You
may set off without any hassles but it may cause troubles during your come back
at home. So, spend some times making plans for your safe homecoming. It will
help you to explore the places in a relaxed mood.
3.
Update Legal Documents: Check back your legal documents. Check the
passport if it is validated for your tour to abroad. Some countries prefer tourist
visas to welcome the tourists for a period—less than three months. Apply in
advance if you need such visas. You can keep a photocopy set of passport, visa,
driving license etc. separately, and can use them in case of losing the
originals.
4.
Currency Exchange: Travelling
is one of the most expensive activities. You need to exchange your currencies following
the place. Or you might fall in several problems like paying restaurant bills,
shopping etc. It is better not to carry hard cash with you due to security
reasons.
5.
Medical Insurance: In order to
avoid mishaps during your abroad trip, you may have insurance such as health
and travel insurance. It will help you to get necessary medical aid at some
points in the journey. It will also help to compensate any loss of health during
the travel.
6.
Mind the Kids: Children are one
of the most vulnerable sections of the society. Their stamina is not as much as
the matured people. Thus they may fall in danger without any prior notice. They
need proper attention during a trip in abroad. Take proper care of them. If possible,
keep in touch always with them. Don’t allow them go alone for sea baths, or
wandering around the streets.
7.
IDN: The International Driving
Permit (IDN) is specially issued for the tourists. It is The UN approved international
licence for the greater benefit of the travellers around the world. Look for an
IDN before your trip. Better to use the public transportation modes for a safe
journey inside the travelling place.
8.
Trip Calendar: Must make a
calendar over the trip and leave some copies to your family or friends. It will
help to look for you in cases of sudden emergencies. On the contrary, you may
make contact with them in cases if you fall in any risk.
9.
Safety Measures: Travelling is
very amusing. But safety matters most in an unknown place. Your outfits,
valuables or baggage may turn you the target of the miscreants. Put on simple
attires following the tradition of the place. Light dresses and fewer luggages can
make you move quickly. It is important not to carry a huge amount of hard cash
with you. Use traveller’s cheque or credit cards instead. Better avoid foods,
beverage etc. from strangers. Apply your common sense to get rid from the risks
(if you fall in unfortunately).
10.
Transportation: Transportation
is one of the most important factors during a trip. Better to use tourist maps
to be familiar with the roads and alleys of the area. Avoid using unidentified
or unmarked taxis. Ride on bus or train for a long distance journey. Try adjacent
rental services for luxurious or sports cars and drive safely.
